UB Poker Review

Uncategorizedadmin03 March 2010

UB Poker is one of the most unique poker rooms online. In this UB Poker review we will go over their excellent poker room and their huge selection of casino games, which are all built into the poker software. I’m an avid online casino player so I like to think that I know a thing or two but I am still amazed by the sheer number of casino games UB.com Poker offers. This is in addition to their new poker room which boasts traffic over 25,000 players logged in at once during the day. UB Poker also offers one of the largest first deposit bonuses in the industry and they accept players from the U.S.A, what more could you really want?

UB Poker Referral Code Bonus

The UB Poker referral code BONUSHP will give you several special incentives along with a huge first deposit bonus. Below is a list of the exclusive bonuses you will receive when you use our UB.com referral code:

·         111% bonus up to $1,111

·         5 percent interest on your account

·         Regular re-load bonus offers

·         Freerolls, freerolls and more freerolls

This is the best UB.com Poker bonus available in 2010. The bonus is quite easy to clear and their multi-tiered VIP system enables you to earn it even faster as you earn points.

UB Poker Casino Games

UB Poker is also home to one of the largest online casinos. It is all built into the same client so you won’t need to down load multiple platforms or create 100 accounts. You can sit back and play Texas Hold’em or Omaha while playing Caribbean Stud or 3 Card Poker. I personally love the 3 Card Poker, especially after hitting a straight flush and 3 of a kind in the same session (won roughly $1,800). Their slot machines are also very fun. I really like their 3X3 hold slots such as the Ghouls Gold. It starts off as a 1 line slot and you can to choose which symbols you want to keep and it gives you new ones on that line and two others. If you get 3 Ghost symbols you get to play in a bonus round which consists of catching ghosts that fly up from the bottom of the screen. On my quicker days I can catch enough ghosts to give me a 100X bonus, on an offer day I’ll get like 50-60X. Either way though this game is extremely fun, it even has a wild symbol and a progressive jackpot.

In total there are 18 table games, 20 slot machines (including 9 progressive jackpots and 5 video poker games. They even have Blackjack tournaments in on a regular basis!

Online Casino Offers

Uncategorizedadmin18 February 2010

There is an immense selection on casinos online and since there are so many, one of the facts to take into consideration other than the reputation it holds, is the online casino bonus and offers.

Primarily when you visit an online casino, you are looking for a specific and favorite game, since some casinos are known for a particular game in specific such as blackjack, roulette, video poker or whichever the case may be, it is also consider a good starting point to go by the game of your preference.

The games imply a huge impact on the visits a casino will have, also the variety of games offered, but for the most part the bonus is an important factor that drives attention to an online casino specially for new members because the bonus distribution are larger and more attractive.

Adding to the benefits are the loyalty rewards and points some online casino offers, including customer support, live tournaments and clubs for repetitive customers and regular members of the casino and this is with the purpose of keeping a valuable customer base and a positive interaction with the players.

Casino games download are also very popular and instant play function on their site is most have these days, since some players would like to have a taste of the game before they place their deposits. And this option will give them a feel for what is going to be when they are playing for real.

In any case make sure you review the terms and conditions, look for best online casino bonus and most important of all have fun and play responsibly.

Pacific Poker In 2010

Uncategorizedadmin18 February 2010

Pacific Poker is one of the oldest online poker rooms and has an exciting new line-up of bonuses and promotions for 2010. This Pacific Poker review will cover some of these new promotions along with the latest updates in Pacific Poker’s software. Pacific Poker in 2010 is one of the leading non-US poker rooms and is best known for the super soft competition found at their tables. They have a new VIP program that is truly one of the best in  the industry and their first deposit bonus is one of a kind, see below for more info.

2010 Pacific Poker Bonus

The best Pacific Poker bonus in 2010 is a two part bonus that offers 25% instantly! Pacific Poker is the only poker room that I know of to give players an instant real money bonus that they can play with at the tables right away. The bonus is a 100% match up to $400. 25% of this bonus is instantly credited as I mentioned and the other 75% will need to be earned like a regular poker bonus. Compared to other major poker rooms that clearance requirements for this bonus are much easier. You don’t even need to enter a special bonus code to receive this free Pacific Poker money.

Free Pacific Promotions

The current promotions at Pacific Poker include numerous freerolls with prize pools as high as $50,000. $145,000 worth of guaranteed tournaments are held daily and unlike other rooms most of these actually offer overlays. Pokerstars for example probably offers $5-10 million in guaranteed tournaments daily but what good is a guarantee is the prize pool is always 150% higher than it? Pacific Poker is also offering satellites to some of the biggest live tournaments in the world like the Aussie Millions.

Pacific Poker Casino Games

Pacific Poker offers a full range of casino games and you can take part in their Casino Game Mix-up tournament which offers $2,000 prize pool. All you need to do is play any Pacific Poker casino game, just once, and you qualify. This freeroll is run every two weeks so you can play in it 24 times a year.

Pacific Poker Software

Pacific Poker updated their software in the beginning of 2010. This update includes many new features that really make their already award winning software even better. People have been playing poker at Pacific Poker for over 8 years so they have had a very long time to fine tune their software. The lobby area is clean and easy to navigate. The software is fast and bug free, which is great for people that like to play at 3-4 tables at once.

Mixed Poker Games In 2010

Uncategorizedadmin12 February 2010

I wanted to give you guys an update on the latest mixed poker game news. First off, H.O.R.S.E poker is no longer the #1 mixed poker variant played online. It is still quite popular and receives plenty of traffic but two new up and comers have stolen many of the loyal HORSE players. Each of these new games was developed at competing poker rooms. The first to come out was 8-Game Mix, which is exclusively available at Poker Stars. Since it first became available it has been a blockbuster and due to the skill level it takes to play it proficiently it is one of the softest (easiest to win money at) poker games in the history of online poker. The other game which is still only a few months old is 7-Game Mix, also known as 7 Game Poker. Full Tilt Poker came out with this popular game in answer to Polestars’ 8-Game Mix and has been very successful.

8 Game Mix Poker

8 Game Poker includes 7 separate poker games and all three betting formats (FL, PL, and NL). A round starts with 6 hands of fixed limit 2-7 Triple Draw, 8-Game Poker’s “ugly duckling” game. Then comes 6 hands (every game is played for 6 hands/rotation)  of FL Hold’em, FL Omaha HL, Razz, Stud, Stud HL, NL Hold’em and pot limit Omaha. The beauty of this game is it’s softness. H.O.R.S.E poker players that have limited pot and no limit experience are getting dominated during the PLO and NLH rotations. They don’t really have much of a choice though as the “fish” they used to feed on at the HORSE tables have fled to the 8 Game Poker tables. When the herd moves on the wise hunter follows, but sometimes the hunter becomes the hunted which is clearly the case for many mixed game players at the 8 Game tables.

7 Game Mix Poker

7-Game Mix poker  is a somewhat easier game to master since it does not include 27 Triple Draw, a game most players have never even heard of. Apart from that the only other difference is:

  • Each game is played for 10 hands
  • The rotation is different, 8-Game Mix = THORSEHA and 7-Game Mix = HEROSHA

8 Game Poker Vs 7 Game Poker

It is hard to say which mixed game I enjoy more. I guess I would choose 8-Game because I have learned how to play 2-7 Triple Draw quite well, giving me an advantage, and Pokerstars seems to have many more “fish” at the tables compared to Pokerstars.

Rush Poker At Full Tilt Poker

Uncategorizedadmin09 February 2010

Full Tilt Poker is a well-known online poker room that has been in business since 2004. It has built a fine reputation for itself and draws a large amount of player traffic from across the globe. It offers some great promotions and bonuses besides an excellent selection of ring games and tournaments. However, what has highlighted the poker room so greatly recently, is its launch of Rush Poker. Rush Poker is a new and innovative way of playing Texas Holdem, in the sense that it offers a faster play of hands as compared to the normal game.

Rush Poker has basically been designed to offer more hands per hour and to save the players the trouble of having to wait for their turn if they want to fold. In case the player has been dealt rubbish cards, the player can fold instantly and move to another table and another until the player finds a suitable hand. The software moves the players around from table to table as per the players’ requirement and the player in turn gets an opportunity to play from different positions at different tables. However, Rush Poker like everything else has its advantages and disadvantages. A successful Rush Poker strategy is built on the understanding that this new poker format changes hand selection drastically. Rush Poker hand selection is much different than what you are used to playing in a regular poker format. You will want to play only the strongest hands in Rush Poker.

Rush Poker - Advantages

The Rush Poker game play is very similar to multi-tabling where players attempt various tables simultaneously. Those who enjoy playing many tables at the same time will enjoy this version immensely. The software instantly seats you at a table where a new hand is to be dealt, if you want to fold at the present table and move on to another all you have to do is press the “Quickfold” button.

The long wait for your turn has just been snipped off, so no more waiting, just play, play and play as much as you can. Skilled players, who can analyse their opponents’ moves well, can build a good bankroll with Rush Poker. This is due to the fact that several hundred hands are played per hour and if you were to use the eight table multi-tabling facility, you could be indulging in over thousand hands per hour.

Rush Poker - Disadvantages

Rush Poker is more suitable for skilled players who can make sensible decisions at the fraction of a second, as the games here move very fast. Slow or new players will find it hard to keep up with this supersonic speed. You can stand to lose a lot of money if you simply gamble here, as most players are likely to fold unless they have rewarding hole cards, in which case it stands to be a game of odds.

Data mining or keeping tab of your opponent’s strategies and statistics is impossible at Rush Poker, as the games move so fast that you can only rely on your decisions to make potential wins. All said, Rush Poker is still an intriguing format and is going to continue making waves, as it is doing now.

Playing Bingo Games

Uncategorizedadmin08 February 2010

Online bingo is very popular. The main reason for this is that each type of bingo game is very simple and easy to play. There are 75 or 90 bingo balls (each with its own number) that are chosen at random. The player has their own game card with 15 random numbers on it.

As the numbers are chosen in a random sequence, the player marks off these numbers on their game card. The winner is the first player to mark off each of the numbers on their game card. This is traditionally known as getting a “full house”, and leads to the end of the game.

2-7 Triple Draw

Uncategorizedadmin02 February 2010

2-7 triple draw poker is a favorite amongst many old time players. It made a huge comeback in 2009 due to its inclusion in 8-Game Mix, the most popular mixed poker game at Pokerstars. The traffic at the 2-7 triple draw tables has grown considerably since then. This article will go over the rules and some of the top strategies for 2-7 triple draw poker. It is one of the most complex poker games out there so I suggest that you put some time in at the play money or micro stakes tables before you try your link at the higher stakes tables.

2-7 Triple Draw Lowball Rules

The rules of 2-7 triple draw are both simple and complicated at the same time. 2-7 triple draw is a variant of a game we all know and love, 5 card draw. Those of you who haven’t played the actual card game have surely played it in the form of video poker sometime in your life. There are some major differences between these games though:

  • 2-7 triple draw has three draws instead of one
  • In 2-7 triple draw you want the lowest hand, not the highest
  • Aces are always high
  • Straights and flushes count as high

You might be thinking you’re in over your head right now but I can assure you that once you get the basics down the rest will come easily. As I mentioned above you should try out the play money tables first. Everyone makes a few mistakes regardless of how much they read about 27 Triple Draw lowball so you might as well make them there. This experience will also give you some knowledge on the average winning hand and how others tend to play.

2-7 Triple Draw Tip & Strategy

27 Triple Draw is available in both fixed and no limit formats so the strategies can differ between the two formats. With this in mind I will focus on universal 27 triple draw strategies that will help you regardless of which format you want to play. The most important 2-7 triple draw tips I can give you is hand selection. Below are some examples of good and bad 2-7 triple draw starting hands and how you should play them:

  • 2-4-7-Q-Q: If there are no raises call the blind and discard the two queens
  • 5-6-9-J-Q: The only time you should play a hand like this is if there are no raises and you are in the small or big blind. You’d either keep the 569 or just the 56 depending on the number of players in the hand and how many cards they drew, which you might not know depending on your position.
  • 2-3-9-J-K – This is a terrible hand that should only be played if you’re playing heads-up. You’d keep the 239.

So much depends on your position at the table I can’t really give you a set guide on hand selection. As a general rule of thumb you should play starting hands with 3 cards that are 8 or less and raise with 4 cards of 8 or less. The average winning hand at a full 6 seat ring table is around 8-9 high.

2-7 Single Draw

Uncategorizedadmin27 January 2010

2-7 single draw is a five card draw variants that is available at the internet’s most popular poker room, Pokerstars. 2-7 single draw is also an offshoot of the more popular 2-7 triple draw which made a big comeback in 2009. As 2-7 Triple Draw grows so to will 27 single draw. This article will teach you the rules of 2-7 single draw and some of the basic strategies you can use to become a winning 27 TD player.

How To Play 2-7 Single Draw Poker

The major difference between 5 card draw and 27 single draw is the objective. In five card draw you want the highest hand and in 2-7 single draw you want the lowest. It is a lot like comparing 7 card stud and razz poker, only there are a few special rules in 27 single draw. The game starts two players putting in the blinds, just like in Holdem. Each player is then dealt 5 cards. After viewing their cards each player gets a chance to check, bet, call or fold, depending on the situation. Then each player gets to draw cards. You can opt to not draw any or draw up to 5 new cards. After this there is another betting round. The player with the lowest hand wins, but there are a few things you should be aware of:

·                     Aces are ALWAYS high (bad)

·                     Straights are high

·                     Flushes are high

If none of these rules came into play the best hand would be an A-5 straight but that is not the case. Thus the best hand in 2 7 single draw is 23457, which you will receive much less often than you get pocket rockets in Holdem.

2-7 Single Draw Strategy

I want to share some basic tips on playing 27 single draw at Pokerstars. The first thing to keep in mind is that it is only available in the no limit format at Pokerstars. This is somewhat odd because 2-7 triple draw is played almost exclusively in the fixed limit format. The most important 2-7 single draw strategy is hand selection. You only want to play hands that include 3 or more cards under 10 in most cases. Always keep the odds in mind when you are deciding when to call someone’s suspected bluff. If you have a king high hand and the other player bet before & after the draw, drawing 2 cards himself, knowing the odds of him having a better hand than you is very important. This is especially true when you factor in the pot odds. Needless to say there is a lot of bluffing in 2-7 single draw.

7 Game Poker Mix

Uncategorizedadmin22 January 2010

7-Game Mix or 7 Game Poker is a new mixed poker game offered at one of the largest online poker rooms, Full Tilt Poker. 7-Game Poker is a mixed poker game which means it is a collection of regular card games that are played in rotations. Further more, 7 Game Poker is a mixed limit variants which means it includes more than one betting format. This all may sound pretty complicated but in the end 7-Game mix is only as hard as the sum of all of its parts, which include 6 different card games. Five of these games are played in the fixed limit, pot and no limit formats. Each specific game is played for 10 hands and then you will play the next game in the line-up for 10 hands and so on and so forth.

Card Games In 7 Game Poker

  1. Texas Hold’em – Fixed Limit
  2. 7 Card Stud H/L – Fixed Limit
  3. Razz Poker – Fixed Limit
  4. Omaha H/L – Fixed Limit
  5. 7 Card Stud – Fixed Limit
  6. Texas Hold’em – No Limit
  7. Omaha Hi – Pot Limit

The only real 7 Game Poker rule is that you will play each game for 10 hands/rotation as I’ve already mentioned. The stakes in 7-Game Poker are worth mentioning because many players are confused regarding this at first. Let’s say you are playing at a $2/4 7-Game Mix table. Obviously there is a big difference between a $2/4 fixed limit game and a $2/4 pot or no limit game. To address this problem Full Tilt has lowered the stakes during the pot limit Omaha & NL Hold’em rotations. For instance, in the example above ($2/4) the stakes for the two non-fixed limit games are $.50/$1.00.

7 Game Poker Mix Strategy

One of the key strategies in 7 Game Mix is to find what I like to call your opponent’s “weak games”. Very few players at the table will excel at every game so finding these weak spots and exploiting them should be a top priority. You should also know your weaknesses and try to improve them. For example my weak spot is Razz. I have been reading up on Razz strategies and my overall results have improved. Once you have a good feel for a player you should use the notes feature to record what you have learned because you will likely play that player again down the road.

7 card stud poker in 2010

Uncategorizedadmin18 January 2010

Seven card stud poker has been growing in popularity during the last few years. Actually each of the three Stud poker variants has grown at roughly the same pace. In 2010, 7 card stud, 7 card stud h/l and razz poker traffic levels are up around 200% compared to the same time last year and roughly 400% compared to 2008. Each week the 2 largest online poker rooms host a huge guaranteed tournament for each Stud variant with prize pools ranging from $5,.000 to $10,000.   In this post I will give a breakdown of the current popularity for each stud poker variant in 2010.

7 Card Stud In 2010

Seven card stud has seen an enormous increase in traffic at a wide range of stakes. At Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker alone you can find not hundreds but thousands of real money 7 card stud players around the clock. More 7 card stud tournaments are running per day in 2010 compared to the number of stud tournament that run per week in 2007.

7 Card Stud H/L In 2010

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo has also seen a comparable increase in traffic at both ring tables and tournaments. Stud HL offers slightly less traffic than Stud at most poker rooms and the tournament action is roughly the same.

Razz Poker In 2010

Razz poker has easily been the biggest gainer out of the three stud games. This is especially true for Razz poker tournaments. At Pokerstars for example there is a big guaranteed event for each stud game as I mentioned above. The stud and stud hl events only have $5,000 prize pools while the razz poker tournament is double that at $10,000. I would say there are 50% more razz poker tournaments than 7 card stud or stud 8 or better.

Stud Poker In Mixed Poker Games

Mixed poker games have exploded in 2008-2009 as well. Every major mixed poker game these days includes at least one stud poker variant, if not all three. H.O.R.S.E poker has been the most popular mixed game for the last 50 years and it includes all three. In 2010, two new variants have taken the lead and they include all three as well, 7-Game Mix and 8-Game Mix. As mixed games grow the stud games will gain more traffic as players fall in love with them or just want to become better players so they can compete in the mixed games.

The Bingo Boom Continues!

Uncategorizedadmin18 December 2009

It looks like there is simply no stopping the online bingo boom. Not even the depressing economic slowdown  can stop  the online bingo boom express train. UK and European online bingo operators such as Jackpotjoy Bingo are yet again reporting strong growth for 2009 with suggestions of  extend future growth during the next few years.

Most analysts  believed the current economic slowdown  would severely dampen  the strong growth in the gambling sector. From the data received to date this though  has simply not been the case. Gambling operators have reported reduced earnings in the poker sector  but online casinos such as 32Red Casino and the online bingo sectors have continued strong.

Many believe that the economic slowdown has actually helped the  growth of online bingo. Bingo players who want to play can do so far cheaply online compared to bingo halls. Also the jackpots online are far superior than those offered in local bingo halls. Most also believe the UK smoking ban has damaged live bingo.

The future for live bingo does not look bright. The live bingo scene though does seem to have problems. Bingo halls have been hit hard during the last couple of years with many throughout the UK closing their doors. It seems we are seeing a major switch in bingo player’s habits with many now preferring playing online.

Bingo Games Online

Uncategorizedadmin18 December 2009

Online bingo is a very popular pastime. Its popularity lies in the fact it is very easy to learn, and gives everyone who plays a good chance of winning. Essentially, online bingo games are based on random elements, with each participant being given a game card. On this card are printed a series of 15 numbers, most often in the range from 1 - 90.

Then a machine (or, online, a piece of software) is utilised to choose numbers at random. Once these numbers have been chosen (or “called”, as is the usual bingo terminology), the player marks them off on their own game card. The object of the game is to be the first to mark off all of their numbers - thus winning the game and calling “house”.

Pick a Winner In The Grand National

Uncategorizedadmin08 December 2009

This year’s Grand National horse chase is set to be the largest yet, the competition is Great Britains largest sporting events. It takes place at the prominent Aintree race course in Liverpool, England.

The reward cash on offer is in excess of 1 million pounds, the whole land comes to a extensive stand still on the night of the event. Young, Old and even those with no interest in horse racing watch the event. Small screen coverage is captured by the SkySports Channel with viewers of 10 million watching worldwide.

Last years sure thing Mon Mome cruised home at
odds
of 100/1, the chase is wide open and almost anyone of the forty
horses
may perhaps win it. Large odds victors are not unusual. The event is so hard because the course has thirty vast fences that the horses must bound, in total the competition is four and a half miles long.

Already there are a number of antepost favourites that come across like real champs, Denman the star of the gold cup maybe the shortest priced horse ever to run in the competition. With forty horses to select from picking a winner is never trouble-free, but there are a few guidelines to take into account.

Weight is very important, Hedgehunter was the originally champ since Corbiere to have over 11st to triumph. A pound here or there over 11st should not be a major fear but do not bet on a horse to be triumphant if it carries over 11st 3lbs. The straightforward fact is only one other horse in the past has managed to win with that kind of load and that was Red Rum! The 2008 Grand national frontrunner, Comply or Die, weighed 10-09 and the 2009 champion, Mon Mome, weighed 11-00!

Up to that time I would have suggested that you overlook the French bred horses and in spite of the magnificent win from Mon Mome in 2009, I still stand by that because regardless of what people may say, they just can’t go the distance in this race. Irish and United Kingdom chasers are purposely trained day in and day out, all year around, for this kind of race so pick them!!

Understanding counts for much in the
John Smiths Grand National
. 11 out of the last 17 winners were aged ten or above but nine is the new ten and horses are so well trained now that nine year olds are the flavor of the day. In order to entice players to sign with them, the online franchises give out bonuses and other cash promotions. In order to maximize them, Poker Bonus Codes can be used. Therefore, before you join a website, try to get a poker bonus code for that website so that you can experience the best bonus available.

After getting the game and getting the promotions, getting the math is the last hurdle to getting into online poker. It is not strictly necessary to understand the math fully in offline poker, but mathematical players do a lot better at online poker where there are fewer tells to exploit. Learning about pot odds and odds to hit your outs is something that you should do anyway, but it is arguably the most crucial element to success within the online poker game. Thankfully, online poker is played with technology and technology can help you here too. A poker odds calculator can be used to help you get a hang of the math. Any good Poker Odds Calculator can really improve your game far faster than you otherwise would be able to do alone.
